John was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Philosophy. While attending Baylor, he spent a semester abroad studying World War II history at Hawaii Pacific University. Following graduation from Baylor in 2018, he was accepted to the SMU Dedman School of Law. At SMU, he earned the honor of becoming a Staff Editor and Articles Editor of the SMU Law Review Association. John was also a member of the Order of the Coif and graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top 10% of his class. John is presently in the process of completing a two-year federal clerkship under the Honorable Joshua Searcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of Texas. In that capacity, John has been assisting Judge Searcy with all aspects of bankruptcy litigation, including cases involving Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13. John will formally join Lovein Ribman in August of 2023 upon the completion of his Clerkship. Prior to attending law school John worked in a variety of industries, including construction.
